Most AI UGC tools are built for ecommerce: a creator holds a product and talks about it. For software, the ad also has to show the product working. Arcads, MakeUGC and Creatify are strong for the creator part, HeyGen for presenters and languages, and distrorig for ads where an AI agent records your real product.
What should a software team look for?
A UGC ad for software has two halves. The hook is a person talking to camera. The proof is the product doing what they said. Every tool below makes the hook. The question is where the proof comes from:
- Product photos or a store page. Fine for a bottle or a shoe. A software product page shows a few still screens.
- Screens you supply. You record or capture the product yourself and the tool places it next to the creator.
- A recording made for you. The tool uses your product and records it. Only distrorig does this in the list below.
Other things that matter: how many languages you need, whether you run paid ads or post organically, and whether your product has a web version.
How do the tools compare?
All competitor facts come from each company's own website. Checked October 2026.

Which one should you pick?
- Pick Arcads if you want the largest choice of AI actors and translation, and you can supply your app's screens.
- Pick Creatify if you run paid ads at volume and want to launch them to Meta, TikTok or AppLovin from the same tool. It also has the lowest entry price.
- Pick MakeUGC if you want many actors, batch variations and many models in one studio, at a low yearly price.
- Pick Zeely if you sell physical products on Shopify, Etsy or Amazon and want ads made and launched to Meta in one place.
- Pick Icon if you want real human creators, not AI, and can send them a physical product. Its site lists $1,000 a month for 6 ads.
- Pick HeyGen if a presenter talking is the whole video, or you need 175+ languages and longer videos.
- Pick Higgsfield if you want to choose between many image and video models for creative clips.
- Pick distrorig if your product is web software and the ad has to show it working, without anyone recording the screen.
What does a software ad look like in each type of tool?
The same 20 second ad for an invoicing app:
| Time | Creator-only tool | distrorig |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 3 s | AI creator: "I stopped chasing late invoices." | AI creator says the same line, shot on Phone |
| 3 to 12 s | Creator keeps talking, or a still screenshot | Recording: the agent creates an invoice and turns on reminders |
| 12 to 17 s | Creator explains the result | Recording: the paid status appears; creator as a circle in the corner |
| 17 to 20 s | Call to action | Call to action over the sign-up page |
The hook is the same. The middle 14 seconds are where a software buyer decides.
Where does distrorig fall short?
- No translation. Arcads, Creatify, MakeUGC and HeyGen all list many languages.
- No ad launching. It posts to TikTok and YouTube organically. For Meta or TikTok ads, upload the MP4 yourself.
- No native apps. The agent opens products in a browser, including mobile web layouts. For a native app, upload your own screen recording.
- No free plan. Making videos needs Pro at $49.99 a month or $479.88 a year.
- No API. Arcads, Creatify, MakeUGC and HeyGen list APIs.
Can you combine tools?
Yes. Make the hook in a creator tool, then upload the clip to the distrorig Library and put the agent's product recording after it. Or export from distrorig and launch the MP4 through Creatify, Zeely or your ad account.
