distrorig videos can show AI people who look and sound real. You need consent to use any real person's face or voice. You must not present an AI creator as a real customer, and you must label AI content where the law or the platform requires it.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It adds to our acceptable use policy.
Real people's faces and voices
You can make an avatar from a photo, use reference photos, and use your own photos or footage. If a real person can be recognized, you need their consent.
- Get consent from every real person whose face, body, likeness or voice you use. This includes avatars made from photos and reference photos.
- The consent must cover what you use it for: an ad, a post, the platforms and how long.
- Keep a record of the consent. We may ask for it.
- Do not use photos of a person you found online, a celebrity or a public figure without their permission.
- You can always use your own face and voice.
No fake customers or testimonials
An AI creator is not a customer. Do not make it look like one.
- Do not present an AI creator as a real person who used your product.
- Do not write a script where the AI creator describes personal results that did not happen, such as "I saved 10 hours a week".
- Do not invent reviews, ratings or quotes from real customers.
- If a real customer said something, you may use their words with their permission, but say that an AI creator reads them.
In the United States, the FTC's rules on endorsements apply to ads. An endorsement must reflect a real person's honest experience. See FTC's Endorsement Guides: What People Are Asking.
When you must disclose AI content
Platforms ask you to label realistic AI content. These are their own pages (checked October 2026):
| Platform | What it asks | Its page |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok | Label AI content that shows realistic people or scenes, with its AI generated content label or a clear caption | About AI-generated content |
| YouTube | Disclose realistic altered or synthetic content when you upload, with the AI use setting in YouTube Studio | Disclosing use of GenAI content |
| Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) | May require an AI label on photorealistic video or realistic audio made or changed with AI | How to identify AI content on Meta products |
Platform rules change. Check them before you post. Ads may have stricter rules than normal posts. Some laws also require AI labels, for example in some political ads.
Content you may not make
- Impersonation. Do not make a video that looks like a real person or company is speaking, unless they agreed.
- Health and money claims. Do not make health, medical, financial or investment claims you cannot prove. Do not promise results.
- Minors. Do not make AI people who look like children, and do not use photos of minors.
- Politics. Do not make realistic AI content of candidates, officials or elections that could mislead voters.
- Harmful fakes. Do not show a real person in a false, embarrassing or sexual situation.
What we do
We may remove content, stop generation, or suspend an account that breaks this policy. We may do this without notice when a real person could be harmed. If you think a distrorig video uses your face or voice without consent, email legal@distrorig.com with a link to it.
