distrorig turns a URL and a few sentences into a marketing video. You describe the video in a chat. An AI agent uses your product and records it, an AI creator introduces it on camera, and an AI voice narrates with captions. You approve each look before it is paid for, edit by layer, then export or post.
The steps, from chat to post
| Step | What happens | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Chat | You say what the video is for | Write a few sentences |
| 2. Plan | The assistant proposes shots, script and who is on camera | Answer questions, change anything |
| 3. Record | The AI agent uses your product and records each step | Watch live if you like |
| 4. Generate | Creator shots are made from stills you approved | Approve each still |
| 5. Voice and captions | One voice reads the script; captions follow it | Pick a voice and a caption style |
| 6. Edit | A timeline of layers per shot | Change any one layer |
| 7. Export | An MP4 in 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1 | Download |
| 8. Post | To TikTok or YouTube, now or at a set time | Connect your accounts |
1. You describe the video
Start a project and tell the assistant what the video is for, who will watch it, and where it will play. The product is optional. The assistant asks for your product's URL, and a login if it needs one, only when the video should show the product.
2. The assistant plans it with you
The assistant proposes the shots, the script and the people on camera. It asks a few questions with buttons, at most 3 at a time. It works in two modes:
- Plan: edits and still pictures only. No clip, voiceover or recording starts.
- Action: it can start paid generation and use your product.
The assistant asks before it switches to Action, so nothing costly starts without your go-ahead.
3. The AI agent records your product
The agent opens your product in its own browser and signs in with the login you gave. Then it does the steps the video shows, such as "create a project, invite a teammate", and records each one.
- Desktop or phone. A desktop browser at 1280 by 800, or a phone layout that shows your product's mobile design and fills a vertical video.
- Sharp text. It records at 2x pixel density, so text stays readable when the camera zooms.
- Auto zoom. The camera follows the clicks. On a phone recording, a fingertip shows each tap.
- Pacing. The assistant speeds up slow parts and can frame the camera on a named element.
- Limits. One recording can be up to 5 minutes.
You can watch the browser live and steer it in the chat. Your login is encrypted at rest, and the AI that plans the steps never sees the password.
4. Generated shots set it up
Generated shots are the parts that are not your product: a creator talking to camera, a person using a phone in a kitchen, a reaction. Each is 2 to 30 seconds.
- Same face every time. A person who appears in several shots is made once as an avatar. You can also use your own photo.
- A still before the clip. distrorig makes an opening still and shows it to you. A second AI reviewer checks it for broken bodies, the wrong camera angle, the wrong light and text in the picture. The clip is made only after you approve.
- Speaking on camera. A creator can say their line with lip movement matched to the words, either "Filmed in the scene" or as an "Animated photo".
- Shot on. Phone, Webcam, Studio or Cinema. Phone adds 30 fps, phone-style processing and a slight hand shake.
- Shape. Full frame, a circle in the corner, or a cut-out of the person standing over your product footage.
5. Voiceover, captions and music
One AI voice reads the script across the whole video. If a creator speaks on camera, their voice reads the rest too, so the video has one voice. Captions show the words as they are said, in 6 styles: Bold, Classic, Boxed, Minimal, Highlight and Pop, with custom fonts, colours and position. For music, upload your own audio or generate a 30 second track from a description.
6. You edit by layer
The editor is a timeline of layers for each shot. When you change one layer, only that layer is made again; the rest is kept. Every generated clip is kept as a take, so you can go back to an earlier one. You can make every change in the editor or by asking in the chat; both change the same video.
| Layer | What it is | Made from | You can change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product | Your product on screen | The AI agent's recording, or footage you upload | The steps, trim, speed, camera zoom and framing |
| Scene | A shot that is not your product, usually a person | Generated from a description, or a file you upload | The description, length, Shot on, shape, position, colour look |
| Voiceover | The words read over the shot | The script, read by one AI voice for the whole video | The script and the tone |
| Captions | The words on screen, timed to the voice | The voiceover, or your own text | Style, font, colours, position, words at a time |
| Audio | Music, ambient sound or an effect | Generated from a description, or your own file | Volume, start, end and trim |
A shot can have several Product and Scene layers, and one Voiceover and one Captions layer. Any layer can be turned off without deleting it.
7. Export
Export makes an MP4 in your project's format:
| Format | Size |
|---|---|
| 9:16 vertical | 1080 by 1920 |
| 16:9 landscape | 1920 by 1080 |
| 1:1 square | 1080 by 1080 |
Video length targets are 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 seconds. Export makes any parts still missing first, then the file.
8. Post and measure
Connect a TikTok account or a YouTube channel and post now or at a set time. Vertical videos up to 3 minutes post to YouTube as Shorts. After posting, distrorig shows views, likes, comments and shares. For YouTube it also shows watch time, average view duration and audience retention laid over the video's shots, so you can see which shot lost viewers.
What distrorig does not do
- It does not make interactive click-through demos.
- It does not run or buy ads. It makes the video and posts it organically to TikTok and YouTube.
- It does not post to Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn yet.
- It does not translate videos into other languages.
- It does not operate native iOS or Android apps.
