An AI UGC ad for software shows a creator talking to camera, then your real product on screen. distrorig makes both parts: an AI creator for the hook, and an AI agent that uses your product and records it. You give it a URL and say what the ad is for.
Why UGC ads work for software
People scroll past ads that look like ads. A person talking to a phone camera looks like a post from someone they follow, so they watch the first seconds. For software, those seconds have to lead to the product itself. A viewer needs to see the screen, the click and the result before they believe the claim.
Most AI UGC tools stop at the person. They were built for physical products, where a creator holds a bottle and talks about it. A software ad needs the second half: the product doing the thing.
What a distrorig UGC ad contains
| Part | What it is | How it is made |
|---|---|---|
| Hook | A creator says one line to camera, filmed like a phone video | Generated shot, "Shot on: Phone" |
| Proof | Your product doing what the hook promised | The AI agent records it in your product |
| Creator over product | The creator as a cut-out or a circle in the corner while the product plays | Generated shot placed over the recording |
| Voiceover | One voice for the whole ad, usually the creator's | Taken from the creator's own clip |
| Captions | The words as they are said | Timed to the voice, in a style you pick |
| Call to action | What to do next, said and shown | Last shot, with your product's URL |
An example: a 20 second ad for a task app
This is the kind of plan the distrorig assistant writes with you. The product is a task manager for small teams.
| Time | On screen | Said |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 3 s | Creator in a kitchen, holding the phone at arm's length | "My team stopped asking me what's next." |
| 3 to 9 s | Recording: a task list fills as the agent types three tasks | "We put everything in one list." |
| 9 to 15 s | Recording: tasks get owners and dates; creator as a circle in the corner | "Everyone sees who's on what, and by when." |
| 15 to 20 s | Creator again, then the app's sign-up page | "It's free to start. Link's in my bio." |
The agent records the middle part in the real product, so every screen in the ad is true. If the product changes next month, you record it again and keep the rest of the ad.
How to make one
- Start a project and describe the ad in the chat: the product, who it is for, the platform and the length.
- Give the product's address, and a login if it needs one. Use a demo account with sample data.
- Agree on the plan. The assistant proposes a hook, the steps to record and the script. Change anything you like. Nothing is paid for yet.
- Approve the creator. distrorig makes a still of the creator first. You approve the look before any video is generated.
- Let it run. The agent records the steps, the shots are generated and the voice and captions are added.
- Edit and export. Change one shot, one line or the caption style; only that part is made again. Export in 9:16 and post to TikTok or YouTube from distrorig, or download the file.
Make it look real
- Shot on: Phone. It adds phone-style colour, 30 frames per second and a slight hand shake.
- One idea per ad. Show one task done start to finish, not a tour of every feature.
- Hook in the first 2 seconds. Say the result, not the product name.
- Real data in the product. An empty dashboard looks like a demo. Fill the demo account first.
- Make 3 hooks. Keep the same product footage and change only the first shot. Test them against each other.
When it is not the right tool
- If you sell a physical product, tools built for ecommerce such as Arcads or Creatify fit better. They focus on a creator holding the product.
- If you need a long training video or an interactive click-through demo, use a screen recorder or a demo tool. distrorig makes short marketing videos.
- If your product is a native mobile app with no web version, the agent cannot open it. You can upload your own screen recording as product footage instead.
What it costs
Making ads needs a Pro plan: $49.99 a month, or $479.88 a year. The plan includes a monthly generation allowance. Editing and posting do not use it. See pricing.
