Use case

Product launch videos for every channel, from one script

Updated October 16, 2026

A product launch video tells people what is new and shows it working. For launch day you need more than one: a 16:9 video for the launch page and vertical cuts for social feeds. distrorig makes them from one script. An AI agent records the new feature in your product, and the same words carry across every cut.

The launch-day kit

VideoFormatLengthWhere it goesWhat it shows
Launch video16:9, 1920 by 108060 to 90 sLaunch page, listing, blog post, YouTubeThe problem, the new thing, 2 or 3 steps, where to try it
Hook cut9:16, 1080 by 192015 sTikTok, YouTube ShortsOne line from a creator and the one result
Demo cut9:16, 1080 by 192030 sTikTok, YouTube Shorts, ReelsThe main task start to finish
Square cut1:1, 1080 by 108030 sFeeds and pages that show square videoThe demo cut, made in 1:1

One script, three lengths

Write the 90 second script first, then cut it down. Shorter versions keep the same lines, so the launch sounds the same everywhere. Here is an example for a team chat tool launching message search.

How to make the kit with distrorig

  1. Put the new feature where the agent can reach it. A staging site or a demo account works. Give the assistant its URL and login.
  2. Start with the launch video in 16:9. Plan the script and the steps in the chat.
  3. Approve the creator's still, if one presents the launch, then let the agent record and the shots generate.
  4. Export the 16:9 MP4 for your launch page.
  5. Make the vertical cuts as their own 9:16 projects, using the same lines. Vertical projects record in a phone layout, so the product fills the screen.
  6. Schedule the posts. Connect TikTok and YouTube and set the launch time for each cut. distrorig makes any missing parts before then.

Generated shots are made in the project's format, so each vertical project makes its own creator shots in 9:16. That uses some of your allowance. You can reuse the same avatar, so the creator looks the same in every cut.

What to get right before launch day

  • Record the final build. Last-minute UI changes mean recording those steps again.
  • Use believable data. A launch video with "Test User 1" looks unfinished.
  • Same name everywhere. The feature's name in the voiceover, captions and page should match.
  • One link. Every cut should send people to the same place.
  • Label AI creators. Do not present an AI creator as a real customer. See our AI content policy.

When it is not the right tool

  • If the launch is a hardware product or a physical event, you need filmed footage.
  • If you want a cinematic brand film, a production studio fits better.
  • If you need Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn posting, distrorig does not post there yet. Download the files and post them yourself.

What it costs

A Pro plan is $49.99 a month or $479.88 a year, with a monthly generation allowance. Posting and scheduling do not use it. See pricing.

Questions

What videos do I need for a product launch?
Usually one 16:9 video of 60 to 90 seconds for the launch page or listing, and two or three 9:16 cuts of 15 to 30 seconds for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Reels.
Can I make a Product Hunt launch video with distrorig?
Yes. Make the 16:9 version of your launch video and export it as an MP4. Check Product Hunt's current rules for how they want the video added.
Can I schedule the launch posts?
Yes. Connect your TikTok account and YouTube channel, then set a time for each post. distrorig starts making any missing parts before that time.
Can I show a feature that is not live yet?
The AI agent records what it can open. Put the new feature on a staging site or a demo account and give the agent that URL and login.
